The farm Plini, belonging to Giglio Francesca, has its legal and operational headquarters in Colle, Frazione Casale in the countryside of Montefalco, province of Perugia. The farm is composed of arable land intended mainly for cereals and oilseeds for about 7 hectares, and a vineyard registered with DOC/DOCG Montefalco, for about 2 hectares; the land is all part of a single body, and has a south-south-east exposure, in one of the best positions of the now famous DOC/DOCG Montefalco area.
Casale Plini is a new brand winery, founded in 2017. On the initiative of Agostino Plini and his wife Francesca Giglio, the project was started by taking over the old company of Agostino's father, and focuses on enhancing the wines that have made the area a great area. The pride of the company is the old vineyard, from which the representative products of the winery were born, and are being born.
The goal of the company is to produce a wine that contains all the flavours of tradition, and to make known the indigenous varieties of our land, Montefalco. For this reason, a lot of attention is paid to every minimum step of this production, interpreting everything in a modern, natural, sustainable way.
