BRIZIARELLI

Umbria, saints and workers land, called the “green heart” of Italy, is also a land of wine. Many the hills present in this country, and the climate is usually very sweet and warm: viticulture, so, is very embedded in the region. In the last 40 years, Umbria grows in the viticulture sector very much, and this is a positive aspect, because in this way it was possible having a great quality in terms of wine production. There was also a revolution regarding the techniques used, which helped the developing of a new reality.

The wine production of the Famiglia Briziarelli starts in 1906, when Pio, and other 10 workers, starts the business of brick and clay. It is properly because of the clay, that it was possible, for the Famiglia Briziarelli, being known in the world. Today, the successors of Pio, create a vineyard of Sagrantino and Montefalco Rosso, in order to honor Pio. The vineyard is placed in Colle del Campo, a field of 16 hectares set in the area where Sagrantino is produced.
